Girona is an ideal place for Eurographics 2013. About 100'000 people live in Girona's metropolitan area. The city, with a wide offering of hotels and B&Bs, is well connected to the rest of Europe through regular and low-cost airlines. Its modern airport, serving more than 1 million passengers/year, is conveniently located at only 15 minutes from downtown and the conference center. The main spanish hubs of Barcelona is a less than one-hour bus trip from Girona (more information is provided on our travel pages). The mild climate of the region and the vicinity of beaches with white sands and crystal clear sea are a huge bonus for Eurographics 2013 participants (see the city council's turism website)!

28/05/2013 - Lloret de Mar, Museu del Mar de Lloert The concept of cultural cooperation is very wide, but it basically means to work in collaboration with others in order to share common objectives. This is precisely what the AMMM does: to work jointly and to foster the exchange of experiences between maritime museums, with the aim of carrying out common actions, both plural and participatory, and thus of creating a unique space that connects and links the maritime heritage of different Mediterranean communities.
On this occasion, the forum will focus on cultural cooperation at a European level, with the intention of looking away from national fragmentations and trying to find a thread that join different national projects. As key objective, there is a will to connect territories and unite them better on the basis of shared interests.
